Janice Gunner

I have been a member of the guild since 1982 and was President from 2005 to 2008. I have been quilting since 1974. My work now features contemporary and art quilt techniques such as indigo dyeing, shibori, vintage Japanese fabrics and free machine quilting. I am a teacher, author and quilt judge and I teach here in the UK and overseas. I have been teaching City & Guilds Patchwork & Quilting since 1994 and now run classes in East London and by distance learning through my "Micro Centre" and since October 2015 at Missenden Abbey, Bucks. I am also a tutor at the world renowned West Dean College, near Chichester.

Through my interest in Japanese textiles I have become a tour leader on specialist Textile and Quilt holidays for Arena Travel, in particular to Japan. I have led two very successful trips there so far, you can read all about both of these trips on my blog. The next trip is planned for 2017. For more details please see my website
